The Saffron Alliance is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.

Who are we?

The Saffron Alliance is a locally-based school improvement network primarily in North-East Essex. Within our network, both primary and secondary phases work together to provide high quality professional development for teachers and leaders, with the aim of maximising the impact of our work, so that all children achieve their potential.

The Saffron Walden County High School is the lead school for the Saffron Alliance and as such administer this website.

 

How do we collect information from you?

The only identifiable data we collect is your name, your school email address, your school name and address, a booking contact (if different) and any details that you have specifically entered when booking a place on a course/event or making an enquiry such as any dietary or access requirements or an emergency contact. Also if applicable any school-to-school support data.

 

How is your information used?

  • We may use your information:
  • to deliver and support you with the Saffron Alliance courses you have booked;
  • to manage those CPD services;
  • to check the quality of the CPD services;
  • to inform you about other Saffron Alliance CPD events/news;
  • in the DfE’s annual audit of Teaching Schools
  • in any financial audits that we are required to complete
  • to help with research and planning of new services

We review our retention periods for personal information on an annual basis. However, a minimum amount of event booking data has to be legally retained for the Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HMRC) required seven years.

 

How we protect your data?

The Saffron Alliance is committed to keeping your personal data safe and secure.

The Saffron Alliance stores you data securely on the Saffron Walden County High School servers. Any paper documents are securely stored, including your application form, which is retained for 12 months.

Paper finance records are kept in a secure location for seven years in compliancy with retained for the Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HMRC) requirements.

 

Who has access to your information?

We will not sell or rent your information to third parties.

We will not share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.

We may share your booking details and CPD feedback or school-to-school support details with the DfE’s annual audit during its annual audit of the Teaching School if we are asked to do so.

We may transfer your personal information to a third party if we’re under a duty to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with any legal obligation.

 

Your choices

You have a choice about whether or not you wish to receive information from us.
